I believed when I got promoted to be senior developer the first time. That is just a rise in the salary Because I was doing good. And I don’t need to change anything. they already happy.
No One prepared for this role, No one Told what was waiting for me.
I found my self becoming a Semi Lead. I need to care more about my teammates, guide them and be a mentor for them at least on the technical side.
I become “The Link” in the chain between my team lead, and the rest of the juniors in the team.
And because no one teaches me how to do that, I failed miserably. In both Sides the Tech, And Personal.
What I did Wrong?
I got Comfortable, I thought I reached the top lier, Forget to learn and evolve. Still, remember the first 3 months, Stuck with the same knowledge seeing every one evolving and learn around me. And that wasn’t the biggest mistake I did. I wasn’t there for my team when they needed me.
One Day I got a call, not a real one, but something inside me wakes up. My inner flame is let again. Eyes are open again.
